Everyday

I see her everyday in the morning while coming to the office, sitting at her favorite position looking at everyone who passes by. And everyday my attention gets diverted to her,the same disturbing feeling which makes me think when will i have the courage to speak or do something for her.I have thought about this many times, will it make any difference if i help her one day. She has been doing this all her life and there are thousands like her in Hyderabad alone. According to a estimate a crore of rupees goes into this business everyday in this city.
And the same conclusion i get into everyday is Indians are a selfish lot. No one in India cares about anyone else. Its true for everyone, even for those who have millions in their bank balance. But i wonder do people in other countries really care for their fellow citizens or they are forced to do so?
You wont find vehicles stopping at Zebra crossings in Hyderabad,if you dont jump in to the traffic no vehicle is going to let you cross the road.
This wont happen in a European country, but the question is are they doing this out of fear of law or just because they have respect for others.
Yes when a Indian goes out to Singapore he has to follow all rules out of complusion. A friend of mine tells that people in Japan are forced to follow rules right from the childhood, they themselves are not civilzed and atleast history shows that all major civilizations other than us has been barbaric in nature.
This debate will go on but i think i will give some money to the poor beggar next time i see her.
